Two Shamu
Two killer whales wave to the audience at Sea World. There were at least five killer whales involved in the act, all named Shamu. Which raises the question, what is the plural form of Shamu? Shamus? Shami? Shamae? Shamuzes? My Latin sources assure me (often, and at great length) that Shamu is both singular and plural. A group of whales is commonly known as a pod, less commonly as a gam.
