| The Queen Mary, once the world's most luxurious passenger ship, is now a floating hotel in Long Beach. On board is an exhibit showing silverware from its days of active service. I was more than a bit embarrassed when I saw it, since my Aunt Bertha had sailed on the ship back in the day and stole ("they want you to take it!") some pieces similar to those I saw in the display, which she gave to my parents as a wedding present. The Yiddish term for dear departed Aunt Bertha is gonif. | ||
