Nike wanted a screensaver to coincide with their March Madness basketball sponsorship. We persuaded them to let us make it interactive as well.

it's spreading
Random "viral" patterns play out over the "tournament gene" used in Nike's March Madness TV commercials. Users could just sit back and watch the screensaver, or go to a control panel and set the parameters of the virus. Moving the mouse would spread the virus faster. The virus itself aged as well, changing colors over time, like a psychedlic version of Conway's game of life.
Below are some of the many possible variations. No two screens are ever the same. We originally included a Nike "swoosh" virus pattern as an option, but the Nike legal team made us take it out.
